TX Dems Who Skipped Vote And Fled To Washington DC, Begging Public For Care Packages – The Lid

For those of you who went to sleep away camp, remember those letters home asking your parents to send care packages of food? Well, those Texas House Democrats who are hiding out in Washington DC have sent a tweet back to Texas with a similar ask. The only thing missing is the salutation, “Dear Mom.”  The tweet was sent by the  Dallas County Democratic Party account and said, “Our Dems in DC said they’d appreciate care packages from home. Before 5pm Tues, we’re collecting Dr. Pepper, salsa, hard candy, hairspray, travel toiletries, hand sanitizers, sewing kits, first aid, and/ or $ to pay shipping. TY!”
