Vice President Kamala Harris was tasked with discovering the root causes of the invasion of illegal immigrants along the southern border with Mexico in March 2021 and the problem is worse today than at any time in U.S. history, yet the vice president dedicates little effort to her assignment.
Nearly two million illegal immigrants crossed into the U.S. last year, according to Border Patrol statistics, and the numbers in 2022 are on pace to top 3 million, and this does not include the hundreds of thousands of migrants known as got-aways who entered the country undetected. This is nearly half the population of the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants already here — some experts put that number as high as 30 million.
President Biden tapped Harris “to lead the White House effort to tackle the migration challenge at the U.S. southern border and work with Central American nations to address root causes of the problem,” according to the Associated Press.
