Former President Donald Trump laid into former Attorney General Bill Barr after his private testimony before Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s politically motivated January 6 select committee was played during Thursday night’s primetime dog and pony show.
In the footage, Barr said he told Trump that claims about the 2020 election being stolen were “bullsh-t,” and that he didn’t want to be “a part of it.”
“I had three discussions with the president that I can recall. One was on Nov. 23, one was on Dec. 1, and one on Dec. 14, and I’ve been through sort of the give and take of those discussions and in that context, I made it clear I did not agree with the idea of saying the election was stolen and putting out this stuff, which I told the president was bullsh-t,” Barr testified.
