Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization was announced on June 24, 2022 and the 213-page decision became available to the public. I did not read the decision at first. I saw headlines declaring, “Roe v. Wade is overturned.” Like a munchkin just after Dorothy’s house fell on the wicked witch of the West, I ran around celebrating a historic win.
Days later, I decided to read the decision. Slowly my celebratory spirit grew more somber. I wrote an initial piece in American Thinker to explain my view. I would like to offer a few more points about why “values voters” should take seriously the lasting damage done by Dobbs.
