On Tuesday morning, a gunman walked into Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, and opened fire in a fourth-grade classroom, killing at least 19 children and two teachers. Salvador Ramos, 18, had already shot and critically wounded his grandmother by the time he arrived at the grade school; ultimately, it was a U.S. Border Patrol agent, and not police officers outside the building, who killed Ramos at the scene.
