‘Selective Outrage’: Free Speech Advocate SLAMS Dem Senators’ Censorship Hypocrisy

A Washington free speech advocate lashed into two Democratic Party senators this week who recently challenged Facebook for censoring pro-abortion posts.

“Big Tech monopolists regularly censor and silence conservatives, and Democrats don’t seem to care,” Internet Accountability Project President and founder and Article III Project founder Mike Davis wrote in an email to MRC Free Speech America. “Let’s be clear: ‘content moderation’ is just liberal-speak for censorship.”

The comments came after two Democratic Party senators hypocritically whined in a letter to Facebook and Instagram. Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) complained in a letter to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Instagram head Adam Mosseri that the platforms have censored some pro-abortion posts.

But both senators have pushed for increased online censorship before. Internet Accountability Project president and founder Mike Davis slammed the hypocrisy of the senators and Big Tech’s overall biased censorship in exclusive comments to MRC Free Speech America.
