NYC Mayor Adams: ‘Big Brother Is Protecting You’

Every once in a while Marxists are accidentally honest. For instance, there’s New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who openly called surveillance technology “Big Brother.” Aside from the fact that clearly sexist Adams should have said “Big Nibling” or something, surveillance technology truly is an effective and terrifying way of making tyrannical government almost impossible to stand up against. Don’t believe me? Look at China.

And notice that Adams specifically wants the technology to detect weapons. If you think that will just apply to criminals, you’re crazy. This is the Marxist plan for disarming the populace to strengthen tyranny.

“‘It blows my mind how much we have not embraced technology, and part of that is because many of our electeds are afraid. Anything technology they think, ‘Oh it’s a boogeyman. It’s Big Brother watching you,’’ Adams said. ‘No, Big Brother is protecting you’.”

Poor would-be tyrant. People don’t like Big Brother. Incidentally, by Dec. 2021, leftist “bail reform” in New York had led to a “spate of violent crimes by repeat offenders in NYC.” By Feb. 2022, the “reform” had been declared a “disaster.” Adams is deliberately creating the problem and then offering tyranny as a “solution.” Did you know that in 2018 it was determined that over 98% of mass shootings happened in gun free zones?
