Kevin McCarthy has message for Pelosi telling Dems to ‘change the subject’ away from inflation

The Democratic Party has finally settled on a response to 40-year-high inflation that is wrecking the budgets of American families: Claim it’s a global phenomenon and that inflation in the U.S. is lower than many other countries and count on voters being dumb enough to fall for word games.

Both of these strategies were on full display Sunday when Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., appeared on CBS News’s “Face the Nation” and said Democrats need to “change the subject” when voters bring up inflation — direction that quirky caught the attention of Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.

“Nancy Pelosi wants to change the subject away from inflation. The American people deserve a change away from Democrats’ one-party rule,” McCarthy tweeted.
