The progressive politicians and their moneyed enablers knew that without public support, their programs aimed at growing US Government involvement in peace and prosperity both domestically and internationally, (what we today call National and Global Corporatism), would never come to fruition. The question became how could the internationalists create support in an America that was still of an isolationist bent?
