While America’s interest in the pandemic has dropped off substantially after two-plus years, Dr. Anthony Fauci’s quest for attention remains strong and the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases appeared on CNN host Jim Acosta’s show over the weekend and managed to give the country a good reason to vote for Donald Trump in 2024.
Acosta, who was the chief White House correspondent for CNN during the Trump years, was gifted a weekend program by network honchos for his continual efforts to undermine and do battle with the former president. So what does he talk about on the show? Trump, of course.
He asked Fauci, “If Trump were to return to the White House as president and Covid is still a threat, or there is some other public health emergency, would you have confidence in his ability to deal with a pandemic of this nature? Would you want to stay on in your post?”
