Sadly, I remember being a tiny minority on social media when I was properly outraged after the Trump administration abandoned the Kurdish freedom fighters in Northern Iraq. They did not offer to bolster our historic allies with much needed supplies, even though they had been faithfully protecting Christians from ISIS and the Turks. Military forces said they refrained from assisting them before abandoning them because it would anger other factions in the precious and fragile Iraqi coalition.
